What We Do

Hydrologic Services
  • Stream flow measurement
Measure streamflow following USGS procedures, develop stage/discharge equations to allow for automated streamflow data collection.

  • Automated streamflow measurement
Design, install, and maintain automated streamflow measurement systems. Collect data from such systems and provide quantification of annual total streamflow.

  • Water Quality Sampling
Lake and stream water sampling following Utah DEQ procedures. Analysis of TDML compliance.

  • Bathymetric mapping
Detailed mapping of lake or stream bottoms. Data can be presented in G.I.S. or AutoCAD formats.

  • Watershed Analysis-Calculate expected run-off through given stream courses based on watershed characteristics. Collect snowpack-rainfall data from watersheds that are not currently being measured.

  • Seeps and Springs-detailed mapping and analysis of seeps and spring, including water quantity and water quality.

  • Stream-type inventory-characterize given streams following U.S. Forest Service (Rosgen) methodology.

  • Hydrologic specialist input-provide hydrologic specialist input regarding probable hydrologic/watershed consequences of given actions for public lands management documentation (NEPA).

  • Stream Channel Alteration Permit-provide the technical services required to obtain permission from the state of Utah DEQ for implementation projects that involve alternation of natural stream channels.
